We’re waiting
“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,” said candidate Donald Trump. All we’ve gotten is a bunch of TV guys in the Cabinet and new names for the Gulf of Mexico and a mountain in Alaska. This is all the winning we were promised?
A little odd
I’m trying to make sure I understand this. The large body of water to our south began life as the Gulf of Mexico. It lived for more than 200 years as the Gulf of Mexico. But now it identifies as the Gulf of America? And we’re supposed to call it that? Weird.
Gulf of America
Kudos to Google and Apple for renaming the Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America in their mapping systems.
Special election
I’m curious what the city of Gulfport and its election commission has against Derek Bullock. Is it because if he were in the race the person they prefer and wanted to appoint might not win? One has to ask seeing how they tried to skirt the law & not even have a special election to begin with until they were called out. The whole debacle stinks.
Drop the penny
It may be that Congress has to actually take some action to stop making pennies but if so, they should take President Trump’s initiative and act promptly to do so. Don’t think it’s a loss. We have changed our currency a lot throughout the decades. From what pennies, nickels and paper currency look like to what they are made of and more. It is stupid to utilize some coin that cost us 3x its value to make. Furthermore, there will be tons left in circulation if not a single one more is made. If necessary, let the Treasury Dept. create a buy back to take all pennies out of circulation.
Unelected appointees
It doesn’t matter that Elon Musk was not elected. President Trump was elected and therefore has enormous legal latitude and power to appoint unelected individuals to pursue his agenda. Of course those pursuits must fall within the boundaries of our Constitution and laws or be blocked, but simply saying or thinking that something violates our Constitution or laws doesn’t make it so.
DOGE
We the People are paying attention to the fraud, waste and abuse that has gone on for way too long. It’s stealing.
Governmental overreach
19 Republicans sent a letter to Costco demanding to know why they haven’t rescinded their DEI policies. If Congress can do that, why won’t it ask businesses to decrease the cost of food and gas?
Super Bowl LIX
It’s amazing how inept the Kansas City Chiefs can look when they’re not getting the benefit of the doubt from the referees every other play.
Immigration
Streamline the immigration department, end illegal immigration and open up legal immigration.
It’s that good
I just had my first taste of a Dong Phuong king cake. Now I finally see what all the fuss is about.
Reasonable is the key word
Reasonable U.S. citizens don’t disagree with audits of government expenditures. Reasonable U.S. citizens do disagree with the methodology being employed by President Musk and his army of unelected inquisitors.
