Pardons
President Trump pardoned the Jan. 6 rioters for one reason: The next time he needs a mob he will get an even bigger one. Why, you ask? Because now its clear that he will he will let them off the hook.
People matter
President Trump was elected and Democrats are freaking out. We arrived here because self-serving Democrats forgot who matters: the people.
Pretty simple, really
It’s really not that hard to figure out how President Trump so soundly defeated Kamala Harris: People are tired of men trying to be women and illegal immigration. That’s really pretty much it. And the longer the Democrats deny it, the more they are going to lose.
Beware the tax scam
Eliminating income tax often seems appealing on the surface, but raising sales and gas taxes to compensate can disproportionately affect lower- and middle-income residents. These taxes tend to be regressive, meaning they take a larger percentage of income from those who earn less. This approach can also lead to higher costs of living, as sales taxes apply to everyday goods, and gas taxes affect transportation expenses, which can cascade into higher prices for goods and services. While such changes can simplify taxation and potentially attract businesses or wealthy individuals, they often shift the burden rather than reduce it overall.
No king
Donald Trump’s not the king, but he’s definitely the boss. Sit back and watch a real leader at work.
No big deal
The media needs to stop sensationalizing everything. Removing transgenders from the military and turning back DEI policies will not reshape the military. It’s not like this will make us safer or better prepared. It’s just reality TV fodder.
No constructive agenda
So far, the MAGA President has been rolling back policies, firing his enemies and deporting people. Does he not have any agenda items that are constructive? What about inflation pricing, or poor infrastructure, an alternative health care improvement, and jobs for his base? I know it’s early, but can we get a peep?
Egg prices
“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,” President Trump said on the campaign trail. Imagine my great surprise upon my most recent trip to the grocery store. I sure hope my loan application goes through so I can get some eggs next week.
Health care
My husband had a telehealth appointment today that was canceled because Mississippi doesn’t allow out of state physicians to participate. When are we going to get out of the Dark Ages?
Fair play
Why get offended by Elon Musk advising the President? George Soros has been doing if for years for the Democratic party.
There for us
Before you slam the Episcopal Church for the sermon given by Bishop Budde in D.C. with the president in a pew, think back to post-Katrina. Episcopal Relief almost immediately set up a base headquarters on Menge Avenue north of Pass Christian. For almost two years, Episcooal Relief provided medical care and meals 24/7 to thousands of Coast residents. ER also had teams in the communities with heavy equipment helping folks clearing their property.
DEI hires
What’s the difference in an unqualified DEI hire and an unqualified political hire? One’s dedicated to the country, the other is dedicated to the politician that hired them. Current examples are some of the cabinet nominees. Up next are potentially 50,000 federal employees.
