Enough
People are debating and arguing over who’s pardons were worse, Biden’s or Trump’s. They are all bad, and a betrayal of the justice system that sentenced criminals to do time, or could in the case of preemptive pardons. We need a constitutional amendment to severely limit this power or do away with it altogether. The difference between these two presidents is that one said he wouldn’t and then did, and the other one said he would and voters didn’t care and elected him anyway.
Pardons
I fully support the pardoning of the pro-life folks; not so much the Jan. 6 rioters.
Tires
What is the deal with all the tires at the City of Gullfport Public Works site on Hewes Avenue? They’ve been stored there for a long time and nothing seems to be happening. This is unsightly. Where is the EPA?
John Brennan
John Brennan lost his security clearance and we can hear his bemoaning and wailing from here. In 2020, he and 50 other former intelligence officials signed a public letter saying Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, which President Biden latched on to as vindication and cover for Hunter. But the DOJ knew from 2019 that the laptop had reliable evidence on it and ultimately Hunter admitted it was his computer and the photos on it were of him. Brennan was trying to tip the election in Joe Biden’s favor and he clearly feels he’s entitled to something of a permanent security clearance. No, ride out to permanent pasture.
Elections matter
According to the majority of American voters, the only real existential threat to democracy is the Democrat party. They’ll do anything to keep America from being a superpower again.
Keeping a promise
President Trump promised to pardon the Jan. 6 defendants a long time ago. The time for outrage over this was Nov. 5, 2024, because it’s too late now. If you voted for him, give yourself a big ol’ pat on the back for being complicit in allowing this to happen.
Birthright citizenship
Citizens of other nations can enter the U.S. on a tourist visa (or cross the border illegally), take a weekend vacation, deliver a baby, and the U.S. government will automatically bestow “birthright citizenship” on the newborn. When the child turns 18, the whole family becomes eligible for green cards, setting off a new “chain migration”. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was intended to enfranchise former slaves and their descendants, not create the global “birth tourism” industry that we have today. President Trump and the voters who elected him are demanding the GOP led House and Senate pass legislation to fix this immigration loophole.
