The new boss

A new Sheriff is in charge. Get on board or get a passport.

Feeding the Gulf Coast

As a recipient of the Feeding the Gulf Coast food giveaways I would like to make a suggestion. Let me first say how much I sincerely do appreciate the food, and I want to express my gratitude to all the volunteers who work hard to make these events happen. Unfortunately I have noticed that some of the produce has either already gone bad or near that point. I had to throw away melons, potatoes, and other produce that was rotten when cut into. Most of us certainly do not want to be wasteful during these hard times. My suggestion would be for organizers to either have more frequent giveaways or either donate some of the food to food banks or pantries before it gets to the point where it has to be thrown out. Just by witnessing how many families show up at these giveaways is an indicator itself of the need due to current food prices and families struggling to make ends meet.

Tax proposal

I don’t understand how eliminating the state income tax and increasing sales and gas taxes benefits anyone but those with higher incomes. Can someone explain this to me please? I would rather see the state eliminate grocery taxes to benefit more Mississippians.

Made in China

Tesla just opened up a new manufacturing center in China. What happened to creating more manufacturing jobs in America?

Yeah, we were buried

I’m sure that when you lived in Colorado and D.C., you got more snow than this. But guess what? Nine inches equals us getting buried. For that matter, 2 inches would equal us getting buried. Sorry if that offends your Northern sensibilities.

Coming soon

I predict it will be weeks, not months, before President Trump utters the words about Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, “I hardly even know these guys. I may have met them before.“

Give it up

I’m so tired of hearing that this presidency will only benefit the rich. Pay attention to the news. The media that tells you what’s going on. Listen to the press conferences President Trump holds. Three companies owned by billionaires are, as we speak, investing billions into our economy/country. We need rich people to start or expand businesses to hire people. Billionaires became billionaires because they are very smart, intelligent individuals. We need these people to invest in our country.
