Musk’s switch

Elon Musk recently switched parties from Democrat to Republican. He also moved his business from California to Texas. Why? He realized he’d been bullied and lied to for years.

Be ready

Donald Trump is crowing that he predicted the devastating wildfires in California. Only a true genius could have known that. I predict more hurricanes will hit the Gulf Coast. When it happens, I’ll let everybody know what a genius I am and then I’ll blame Republican incompetence for causing it.

Cat fight

Steve Bannon and Elon Musk are at war with each other. Bannon thinks Musk has his own agenda and is in it for himself. Duh. Doesn’t he get that President-elect Trump is, too? The MAGA agenda was just a way into power. Did he really think Trump cares about poor people?

Second Saturday

I recently read that patrons of the Second Saturday Art Walk had shifted how they participated in the event. This struck a nerve with me, as I am a former business owner and participant of this event for 20 years. You see, the business owners shifted their focus. Once upon a time there was excitement for Second Saturday. If you, as a shop owner, wanted a great day, you planned for it. You ordered your merchandise to coincide with the day! You worked hard, just like you would if you were planning a very special occasion. You made the whole day special. Customers would arrive as soon as you opened to see what new selections were available. The day would make your sales for the month. All owners were on board. The few bars that were on Beach Boulevard would do well. Then the shops moved out and the bars poured in. The evolution of a quaint art town is gone. Now the existing merchants association is trying to create a new art walk. Wishing them all the success and prosperity of their new plan.

Be gone

It will be nice to soon have a president that is actually in control and able to speak in complete sentences.

Talking points

People who think the extent of fires in southern California are because of budget, DEI or water, have obviously never been there.

Female conservatives

“Trump Pick” believes there is “no such thing” as a female conservative. I always enjoy responding to the “no such thing” assertions, because all I have to do to debunk it is produce but one example. In this cae, Ann Coulter.
