Fruitcake
I know most popular Sound Offs are about the Trump vs. Biden issue, but having been the recipient of many holiday fruitcakes through the years, I thought it was timely to pose this question: Is there anyone out there in the world who really likes fruitcakes? I’m curious because I have never known a person who has actually eaten anything more than just a taste.
And another one ...
There was another domestic shooting here and no one seems to connect this to a larger issue. We have no problem with reporting domestic terrorism or gang related shootings.
Biden’s orders
It seems that all the orders that President Biden is putting in place are only to hamper Donald Trump, and nothing that would actually be beneficial to the nation.
Easy answer
Those who wonder why President Biden did not pardon those prisoners who were executed while he was president, the answer is quite simple: those executed have all been state, not federal, prisoners. Biden commuted the sentences of federal prisoners only. In addition, no federal prisoners have been executed while Biden has been President.
All about casinos
All the Biloxi leadership cares about are casinos and tourists. They don’t care about the residents of Biloxi. They have sold the soul of Biloxi for a few pieces of silver.
Compassion
The Christmas season should be a reminder that all followers of Jesus should show compassion. Jesus was known for having compassion and helping others. Jesus stopped the stoning of a prostitute, but we never saw him putting sinners to death. I am so happy that President Biden followed his Christian faith and stopped the executions. Jesus never gave us instructions to put sinners to death. He told us to forgive. That included everyone. No questions asked and no exclusions. These people on death row are not going free. They will stay in jail until they die. So why am I hearing how wrong it is to commute the death sentences of these people? No matter what you think of Biden, he did what Jesus would do.
CO2
In the same article both of these statements were made, “… working to strip carbon dioxide from the atmosphere ….“ And, “More than 1000 big companies have pledged to eliminate their carbon emissions over the next few decades.“ Sounds like the buggy-whip industry to me.
