Looks like every kid on my street got a new motorized scooter for Christmas. They ride in tandem and literally fly. And not a helmet or knee pad in sight. I was worried about the local speeding cars, but a raised crack in the pavement got the first pair today. No major damage except for strawberries, cellphone, and pride. Parents, what the heck? Bikes and skateboards use safety gear, but not these?
Not healthy
The Gulfport Memorial Hospital mission statement is: To be the driving force in improving the health of patients and the community. Then why did the CEO and Board shut down its gym. I’ve been a member for over 20 years. It was a great place for all to improve their physical and mental health. I now understand why so many good doctors have left Memorial.
Con man
Donald Trump used his Christmas Day message to demean and insult while at the same time selling his Christmas-themed merchandise. America has reached a new low.
Billionaires
How did we as a country get to this place? How did we get to having an unelected billionaire with such enormous influence over our government? Wait, we’re talking about George Soros, right?
Research lacking
Some folks are programmed to make comments without checking facts. The bipartisan funding bill with over 1,500 pages was loaded with absolutely ridiculous items that Democrats and some GOP members wanted our tax dollars to fund. We need strong representatives to refuse such frivolous spending and those sponsoring such spending should have their names published for all to see. We need our government representatives to protect us and our nation, not give handouts.
Yes, I asked for it
It’s not chaos when an influential person makes enough noise to convince the politicians in the House that they shouldn’t be trying to sneak a same-old, same-old deal through at the last minute. Personally, I’m glad they listened to him and President-elect Trump. Because they didn’t listen to me complaining about excess spending. It’s time to rein in the wasteful use of our tax money. Stop earmarks, stop sending money we don’t have overseas, streamline government services, and close the border.

I haven’t seen you on Thanksgiving, Winter Solstice, Yule, Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, and probably won’t see you on New Year’s, so I wish you Happy Holidays for the season.

More bull
It’s hard to take a president seriously who spends an inordinate amount of time talking about buying Greenland, making Canada the 51st state and taking over the Panama Canal, all of which are not only stupid, but impossible as well. Nonsense from a nonsensical guy.
Exit 50
Is there any chance the Jackson County Sherrif’s Department can do something about the career panhandlers who are constantly posted at Exit 50? One guy has been panhandling there for 8 years now with no end in sight. If you’ve seen him once, you’ve seen him a hundred times. People give him so much help and money there’s no incentive for him to take responsibility and better himself.
Matt Gaetz
I am stunned the ethics committee did the right thing concerning the Matt Gaetz report and released it to the public. It’s about time someone in Congress realizes who they work for and who works to give them a paycheck. Gaetz should have been run out of D.C. long ago instead of being allowed to prance around like the arrogant fool he is.
The next investigation(s)
The next folks to be investigated should be the ones who spent the most time defending Matt Gaetz.
