Mahoney’s suit

I have the opposite problem with Mahoney’s suit. I ate there several times and only ever eat the fish (which I am assuming now was foreign). I am not part of the lawsuit but kind of think I should be. How can they prove I didn’t?

What are they buying?

Billionaires are donating millions to Donald Trump’s Inauguration. I guess they figure it’s an investment with the tax cuts they were promised.

Poor planning

During the marathon along Highway 90, the employees of the Gulfport Yacht Club were prevented from crossing the highway by the Gulfport Police Dept. This unnecessary situation caused the club to cancel brunch and displaced the jobs of cooks and waitstaff who depend on these jobs to try and make ends meet. There have been marathons before and this has never happened.

The people have spoken

The people have spoken. The majority of American voters decided the price of eggs was more important than honor, character, and integrity.

A shame

I was very disappointed to learn that after 23 years, the Ocean Springs Art House will be closing for lack of a place to reside. The Art House is a collective of very talented local artist selling their work far below big city prices. For Ocean Springs, a city renowned for being the artsiest place on the Coast to be without a collective for local artist to display their work is really a shame.

BP settlement

The Mississippi legislature is trying to take credit for appropriating BP settlement money to South Mississippi for development. Isn’t that what the money was for anyway, damages to the Gulf? Not to mention the enormous amount of money from interest made on that money which goes who knows where.

Paving project

What happened to the 10-year plan to pave streets in the city of Gulfport, as I haven’t seen any roads being paved in a while? Hewes Avenue northbound, from the bridge to Pass Road, is in bad shape and needs attention, especially since it’s a route to our airport.
