Cabinet picks

It’s sad that so many Sound Off opinions continue to disparage the incoming administration structure, but seldom, if ever, make negative comments about the current administration picks for various government positions and their qualifications and the decisions that were made.

Retribution

Donald Trump vows retribution after he’s president. What a crazy, selfish thing to do when the country needs a thinking president to help with many problems. When he’s thinking up mean things to do to his perceived personal enemies, the country starts crumbling. Ordinary people will suffer and the U.S. will never be the same.

Liberals

I couldn’t find any dictionaries written by Trotsky or Lenin, but all the real dictionaries describe a liberal as one who supports individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.

Contrarian

The definition of a contrarian is a person who opposes or rejects popular opinion or going against current practice. Let’s think, “who has been in the spotlight recently that is the epitome for this definition”?

Felonious friends

Donald Trump has appointed his daughter’s father-in-law, a convicted felon whom he pardoned. No wonder Trump does not want his appointees vetted. They wouldn’t pass the background check.

The playoff

I guess we should just change the rules for the new college football playoff to include Alabama every year, regardless of whether it deserves it or not. That’s two years in a row more deserving teams have been left out for the Tide.

No excuses

Donald Trump has promised a lot. He has the U.S. House. He has the U.S. Senate. There is no excuse for not following through on his promises.
