Eek!

A giant cockroach reef? Yuck! But then I started reading. And laughing. And nodding. And saluting with my morning coffee. Thank you, Bruno, Greg and Will, for following through with a creative, fun idea that will benefit our coastal fisheries. Thank you, Anita and Hannah, for sharing it with us.

Roach reef

The cockroach-on-a-tugboat idea for a fishing reef is terrific. It is a work of art. Did Milanese, Cignac and Ladnier weld the cockroach? The artist deserves recognition.

Bondi hire

So a post compares Pam Bondi to Kamala Harris as a DEI hire and questions her qualifications. She was Florida’s attorney general for eight years. She is arguably the most qualified AG pick in the past 50 years. President Obama picked his friend Eric Holder. Reagan chose his personal attorney. Clinton went through three people before he got an AG confirmed. Hmm. Such hypocrisy by the left has raised its ugly head once again.

Real reason for Bondi hire

It is patently unfair and absurd to call Pam Bondi a DEI hire. It is much more accurate to say she was hired because she accepted Donald Trump’s bribe not to investigate Trump University, costing the taxpayers of Florida tens of millions of dollars. If you’re going to attack a hire with such a questionable background, at least get it right.

Four more years

The country survived President Trump’s first term. You survived his first term. The country didn’t burn to the ground. We’re still here. Relax.

Grocery prices

If you want to throw your money at overpriced Rouses groceries, go ahead. They can afford to send a limo to your door. Look for me at the Walmart self-checkout, bagging my own groceries in my reusable cloth bags, none of which I paid for.

This is bad?

Dictionaries, encyclopedias, and textbooks define ’liberal’ as “relating to or denoting a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.” If you show disdain for being liberal, what are you?

Everywhere, signs

The eyesore leftover Gov. Reeves campaign sign at 603/Cutoff Rd. got put to use as a hanger for an Amy St. Pe sign. Perhaps she would do a public service to Hancock County residents and remove both after the runoff.

Advance leak

Sources told us that the water mysteriously coming out of the floor at Advance Auto Parts in Ocean Springs was tested and found to be free of chlorine, thus “proving“ that it was not an artesian well. Now the city says it was an old city water line. If that’s correct, why is there no chlorine in the water? Something’s fishy.

New York Times

The Commentary of the NYT says we are “hostile towards immigrants”. This is yet again a gross misrepresentation of reality for the purpose of supporting the worst policy of the Biden-Harris administration and “resisting” Trump’s plans to make America great again. There is NO hostility towards legal immigrants who come here to live, love and assimilate. The border jumping, welfare demanding class of illegal immigrants is what causes the problem.

Taxes

President Trump recently asked, “Who doesn’t want lower taxes?” I don’t. Not unless they can be lowered without hurting important programs that they support. Taxes are necessary to support very important things: the military, the police, firefighters, public education, roads and bridges, disaster relief, the handicapped, public libraries, and more. Of course I do not want to pay any more taxes than are necessary to keep our country and communities safe and healthy, but I do want to pay taxes for that. It is wrong to suggest that it is always good to lower taxes.

Revenge

Since Donald Trump and his family are banned from having any non-profits in New York, his quest is now to destroy them or at least control how they work. There is a lot of corruption there already, but a lot of good is done, too.
