Interstate driving

A story recently quoted MDOT stating 18-wheelers should use the left lane when traveling on the interstate because of potholes in the right lane. This is contrary to MS law which states drivers should stay in the right lane except for specific circumstances. Driving continuously in the left lane is illegal. Is MDOT going to pay the fines if drivers are fined for driving illegally in the left lane? Perhaps if MDOT could make permanent repairs to the potholes in the right lane, this conundrum would not exist.

Here we go

Our four year national nightmare is about to begin. Donald Trump is appointing a Fox News host as Secretary of Defense who is grossly under-qualified for the most important job in all of government. He created a fake position for new best friend Elon Musk, because he owes him. He tapped his enemy Marco Rubio for the sole purpose of making his daughter-in-law an instant senator, and Kristi Noem is another unqualified candidate who has several times demonstrated very bad judgment skills. If this stuff doesn’t scare you, you might be brain dead.

Flags

OK folks, you can take down your Trump banners, flags and signs now. It might save you time later when you don’t want people to know that you voted for him.

Appointments

Maybe some of President Trump’s appointments are questionable. But it’s nothing compared to President Biden’s picks in 2021. That list was full of unqualified DEI hires.

Matt Gaetz

Matt Gaetz may or may not be guilty of his alleged crimes, but he most certainly is a coward for resigning so the ethics committee report would be quashed. I think all of America is entitled to read it. Our tax dollars paid their salary to investigate and the secretive way they operate is not right.

C’mon, California

California’s management ineptness is on full display. We are weeks out from the election and they still cannot finish counting ballots and certifying their results. So America waits on California. Are they taking long lunch breaks or mini vacations because counting is such hard work? Get Gavin Newsom on it. He picked up garbage for a couple of hours one day during a photo op to show how much he cared.

Police chase

Really? A high speed chase from D’Iberville to Ocean Springs to catch a Lowe’s shoplifter? Hundreds of innocent motorists endangered by this ridiculous pursuit over stolen items worth probably less than $100. Almost every police chase ends in a crash, as this one did. The suspect will probably only get probation and have to pay restitution to Lowe’s for the stolen items, while the driver whose truck and trailer was crashed into is the real loser. At least, no one was killed or seriously injured in this one. Watch some YouTube videos on the subject of police chases, and hope that you are never driving in the area where one is going on.
