Not misogyny
I disagree with the comment that misogyny is the reason Vice President Harris lost. She, like Hilary Clinton, was not only unlikable, but their policies were counter to what the majority of voters desired. Inflation was bad, fuel prices were high, government spending was out the roof. Harris said she was in the room when the big decisions were being made and couldn’t think of a thing to do differently. The voters thought of something to do differently. The majority of people don’t care what gender the person is or what skin color. They just want things to be run well.
She earned that loss
No one wants to admit we have a misogyny problem because we don’t. Are there people out there that voted that way? Of course. But it had nothing to do with the final result. Winning the popular vote by so many millions of votes illustrates this is hogwash. It’s the far-left news outlets that rushed to use this as an excuse, rather than having a poor candidate. Exit polls did not reveal people voted against a woman. Voters 19-29 have the least amount of prejudice in our country. Trump gained 10 points in this demographic. Keep ignoring the truth as to why Vice President Harris lost and liberals will continue to lose.
Blame game
People can blame whoever they want for Vice President Harris’ defeat. Remember when she ran in the primaries she got around 3 percent of the votes. What changed to make anyone think differently about her?
Thanks, Walmart
I’ve been a Walmart+ member for a few years. I shop a lot at Walmart and they home deliver my items at no extra charge. For my latest purchase, Walmart gave me 18 free plastic clothes hangers (which I really need). Walmart is a good business and I appreciate their free gift. Thank you Walmart; you made my day.
Second Saturday Artwalk
Why do you think that this popular event of 30 plus years died? Maybe Bar St. Louis swallowed it? All bars. No real cool shops left. So very sad! Used to be a real artsy community where you could walk around and enjoy the shops. Now you must take out a loan to be able to pay to park. And for what?
A failure
It has been a grand American Experiment for 244 years. Alas, it has now failed, and those of us with a sense of history are grief-stricken.
Poor behavior
Fans are throwing trash on the field after losing. When did being a sore loser become in vogue? Oh yeah, I forgot.
No right
A draft dodger whose daddy bought his way out of military service has no right to talk about Liz Cheney or anyone else being too afraid to fight in a war. Donald Trump’s extremely hypocritical rhetoric and warped sense of machismo is sickening. Also, John McCain will always be a war hero, something Trump couldn’t even begin to appreciate or understand.
Law and order, huh?
Donald Trump vows to pardon the rioters on Jan. 6 who stormed the Capitol, destroying property and attacking policemen. And y’all freaked out when Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the anthem.
Liz Cheney
Liz Cheney put her country before party and her country before her own ambitions and that behavior was deemed so egregious by Republicans that she was tossed out like yesterday’s trash, while Donald Trump’s behavior is perfectly acceptable to them. Can it get any more hypocritical than that?
Harris’ speech
Vice President Harris made a speech that was humble and gracious, something Donald Trump doesn’t even know the meaning of. It was in no way, shape or form divisive, but what is divisive is claiming it was.
Trump and Putin
A major concern we should all have is whether Donald Trump can put aside his ego long enough to realize that Vladimir Putin’s flattery is simply a manipulation to control him. He’s started immediately again by calling him courageous, and it appears to work on Trump like a charm. This is the worst effect of Trump’s narcissism, thinking Putin is sincere and therefore is a friend. Watch him side with Putin over Ukraine while he ends the war with a phone call.
