They want more?
Today I received a request from the Harris campaign for more money. They spent $1.4 billion and lost and Donald Trump only spent $950 Million. Why would anyone want to donate more money to them? Not this time.
How many letters?
I called the water department to have my water shut off at the street level to fix a leaking faucet, which I did, then had them cut it back on. Two days later I got a form letter thanking me for reporting the “problem” and stating the resolution was “turned water off.” Two days after that, I got the exact same form letter but the resolution was “turned water on.” Now this was good for a laugh, but seriously Gulfport, at roughly 75 cents a pop, how many of these are sent out in a year, and can’t you find a better use for our tax dollars?
It’s all him now
Donald Trump has no one to blame now. Let’s see how he improves the country since he has Congress, and the Supreme Court under his control. I wish him success because it’s in all our best interests.
NFL
The National Football League fined Nick Bosa of the 49ers for wearing a MAGA hat in a post-game interview. When will the rich Democrat elites realize that we don’t care? Winning is everything.
Turn it off
A new study by the CDC shows half of Americans aged 12-17, teenagers by their definition, reported four or more hours of screen time each day. That’s more than a quarter of typical waking hours and did not include any time spent doing schoolwork. That study also showed of the teens surveyed more than 26% showed symptoms of depression and anxiety in the past two weeks. Add in the negatives of screen time, particularly on children who are still cognitively that are well documented. While total avoidance in this modern age is highly unlikely, parents need to proactively dial it back if they want their children to thrive.
Equal rights
Since President Trump has said he will protect women, I assume he will be pushing for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment.
Cleaning up
I inherited a house and eight cardboard boxes worth of old cleaning supplies, pesticides and paint cans from my (bless their hearts) pack-rat parents. A big thank you to Mississippi Power and all the volunteers at the “bring it” event Saturday for doing a great community service and running it so efficiently.
