Level up

What moronic staffer or staffers vetted the offensive comedian for the Trump MSG rally? If he wasn’t vetted, why not? In fact, at this crucial stage of the last lap before Election Day, why was he even there? It seems high level campaigns on either side ought to be able to avoid or prevent a critical, self-inflicted wound but apparently that’s not always the case because Harris’ crew has failed their candidate as well. In excess of a billion dollars will be spent seeking the White House and yet the tiniest of errors can potentially derail the train.

Civility

What happened to civility and honor from our presidents and candidates? When did it become acceptable to call people “garbage” and “the enemy within” to only name a few of the vile remarks made recently? I’ll bet Lincoln, FDR, and Reagan are turning over in their graves. There is no excuse for this vitriol spewing from the leaders of the free world.

Go vote

Mississippi is not inherently Republican. Tate Reeves won reelection with only 51 percent of the vote. A low voter turnout and a failure in Jackson that had voters waiting in line for hours all impacted Reeves’ slim wining margin. Mississippi is the second most difficult state to vote in and has a very long history of discriminatory voting practices. So, please show them you can vote. Your vote really can make a difference.

Harris rally

Our vice president must truly be a force to be reckoned with if she managed to bus 75,000 people to Washington D.C. for her rally that “nobody” wanted to attend. Donald Trump is so jealous of her crowd size he will say any nonsensical thing to deny her popularity. Show me pictures or video of the roughly 1,500 busses it would take to pull that off and I will gladly eat my words for breakfast.

Endorsements

The Sound Offs about major newspapers and unions not endorsing vice president Harris are leaving out the most important point here. It’s not a hatred of her so much as it is a desire to not upset Donald Trump to see what kind of tax breaks and other benefits they can get to line their already overflowing pockets. It’s about shameless greed and nothing else.

Standards

So a local anchor gets fired for showing his political views on his personal accounts. A front page story includes the “outrage” over how unprofessional it is,to show a political view when you are a newsperson. Same day, there is a story about how the Washington Post has been endorsing Democrats for decades. Editors and writers have now quit, because this year they refused to endorse Vice President Harris. The entire staff publicly identifies as liberal. You can’t make this stuff up. If Democrats didn’t have double standards, they would have no standards at all.

Controlling the narrative

Why do most Americans think the economy is doing poorly when in fact it’s doing very well? It’s because Republicans are doing a better job than Democrats of controlling the media message about our economy: It’s not the economy stupid; it’s the price of eggs and bacon.

Not his fault

Donald Trump’s MSG rally that went sideways because of racist, sexist and profanity-laced speeches is not his responsibility, we are told. He had nothing to do with it. Could it be that those sneaky Democrats pulled off a brilliant rally sabotage mission right under his nose? Yeah, that must be it.

That roundabout

This worthless $2.3 million project is totally unnecessary. Nothing but a waste of time and money just so someone can put a feather in their hat. A roundabout is stupid. That money could have been better used for real road improvements. Sick of the ignorance and incompetence.

Political views

Political views by national TV and journalists are apparent everyday. Some personalities are very adamant about their political opinions and very biased. Look at MSNBC, CNN, ABC and CBC for liberal opinions. Also FOX is obviously conservative. Dave has been a long time fixture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Give him a break.

Soccer fields

Last year it was brought to the attention of Biloxi city officials that hundreds of kids were having to leaving the soccer fields across from Margaret Sherry library before it got dark because there are no lights on any of the fields. Here we are a year later and the dog park is lit as well as the pickle ball courts and pickle ball parking lot but some how the fields are still in the dark. Are our kids not a priority in Biloxi?

Guns

Thank goodness that the mentally ill can still own guns in America. Just because you’re mentally ill doesn’t mean the bad guys aren’t out to get you.
