Safety inspections
Perhaps it is time to resume mandatory vehicle safety inspections. Last night on highway 53, in less than 2 miles, I saw six cars with at least one headlight out. On Highway 49 between Highway 90 and I-10, there were another four. This was just a typical evening. Add this to the myriad vehicles that are downright hazardous, I fear for my safety every time I get in my car.
Air traffic controllers
Tulsa Community College and the University of Oklahoma have established full training programs for controllers with the FAA’s Enhanced Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative. The FAA wants to expand the program at more colleges nationwide. Gulf Coast Community College would be a perfect fit. They should contact Sen. Roger Wicker.
Equal coverage
It seems anyone can say any outlandish thing about Donald Trump and it gets printed in Sound Off. It doesn’t have to be true or even make sense — just as long as it is negative. It seems nobody is allowed to say anything about Vice President Harris, especially if it’s true. Nobody can comment on her word salads, or her lack of policies. Every time she speaks in public, it’s a disaster.
Sad Sunday
We went to new church on Sunday. Unfortunately, they had a guest guitar singer. His song was nicely done. Unfortunately, he brought up the topic of the upcoming election. He reminded the congregation to vote “either for “Donald or Calamity.” We won’t be back. I guess some can’t comprehend the concept of church and state and keeping politics out of the church.
Vote Trump
Donald Trump is posed to take America into the future. To put the American people first, not illegal immigrants that are sucking our taxpayer dollars to create communism.
Elliott out
I’m glad Dave Elliott is out at WLOX. He’s been politically biased for over 20-plus years. I turn him off when he comes on. It’s about time someone stood up to him. Keep your opinions to yourself, Dave. I certainly don’t want to hear it. Nothing would please me more than Donald Trump to be beat by a woman. Every woman in this country should vote for Vice President Harris.
Thanks
Thank you WLOX for holding David Elliott accountable for his actions. He has a right to his opinion just as everybody, but should not be telling it publicly. As a journalist, he should remain professional and impartial in his public actions and remarks.
