Groceries

A recent submission indicated that at ALDI it is necessary to pay for a basket and bag your own groceries. Well that sounds accurate but not complete. You must also bring your own bags, but not to worry — if you don’t have any bags or forget them at home, ALDI will gladly sell you a bag. I am happy that ALDI is coming to D”Ibervile , but I’m just not sure these rules will work for senior citizens or those needing extra help. Best of Luck to ALDI but not for me.

More guns

Since the GOP and the NRA have been joined at the hip forever, and both believe anybody should be able to carry any type of gun anywhere at any time, why are guns banned at Donald Trump’s rallies? I say let all the attendees be armed and they could be an extra layer of protection for Trump if something happens and the Secret Service is caught sleeping on the job again. They could even set up a table at the gate and let people check out a weapon for the event.

Hitler rhetoric

What do Donald Trump, George Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have in common? All have been compared to Hitler by the Democrats. Using the same old playbook for decades.

Tax cuts

Donald Trump promises no tax on overtime: He has a record of not paying overtime to his employees. Trump wants to eliminate tax on tips: Most people don’t even report their tips, so how will this happen? Lastly, he wants to cut taxes on Social Security: Most of us don’t pay taxes on Social Security anyway. Sounds like empty promises to me.

Supreme-less Court

No surprise that the worlds richest man in the billionaire club, Elon Musk, is testing the law by giving million dollar checks to register voters in battleground states in effort to buy their votes for Trump. The Supreme Court removed limitations on donations years ago with the misleading name “Citizens United” which enables the buying of elections. So far Musk has given Trump almost $120 million to get him elected. Don’t think for a second that big corporations aren’t salivating to have Trump in office to increase their profits. It’s in no way for the middle class.

WWJD?

Donald Trump is targeting Christian voters. No evidence from him that he is targeting Christ. Christians should be paying attention.

Help for small businesses

Vice President Harris is saying she will give $20K to people to start new businesses. I am a small business owner. I have been talking to other small business owners along the Coast. They are saying they have never been this slow. And Harris wants to setup more competition? How about she help who’s struggling now?
