At ALDI, I have to pay for a basket, and then bag my own groceries? Make it make sense: Why would I spend money and work at the same time?

No good option

I don’t know anyone who is voting for the Democrat or Republican candidate for president. Every person I know is voting against one or the other. Many describe their choice as “the lesser of two evils.” How tragic. No matter which party wins in November, I fear the loser will be our nation and its people.

We are here

In response to the sound off asking if we living in a blue state or are conservatives just being silent, The question reminded me of two quotes I have always remembered. Never assume that loud is strong and quiet is week. Also, Intelligent silence is better than ignorant speech. So, yes conservatives are here we just do not let hatred consume our days.

Propaganda

Sound Off after Sound Off is trying to convince everyone that the current administration has no control of the economic, border, and national disasters of the last four years. Donald Trump did something about it. His border policy drastically lowered illegal immigration. His tax policy lowered taxes for ordinary citizens. His energy policies lowered gas and made the US a net exporter of energy for the first time in history. His economic policies kept groceries reasonable, prices lower, and low unemployment. Let’s say we believe all the sound offs, and there is nothing the current administration can do about anything. Then why would anyone want to vote for Vice President Harris?

Our next president

The Rev. Amos C. Brown, an 83-year-old Jackson native said of Vice President Harris, “I prayed for her safety and security. I prayed she’d be led by spirituality as she sought the presidency, to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with her God. Then I recited a passage from James Weldon Johnson’s great hymn ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing.’” If she is good enough for Rev. Brown, she’s good enough for me and the nation.

Attacking Trump

You can call Donald Trump a felon, a criminal or anything liberals can think up. New York City has passed new laws in order to convict Trump of anything imagined. He won the primary legitimately.

$40M project

Leave it to the politicians to spend $40 million to repair a new road that isn’t broken. I can see numerous other roads that could use some fixing up, and would be a lot more appreciated. Two that I travel often immediately come to mind: Three Rivers Road from Creosote Road to Three Rivers desperately needs to be resurfaced. It is highly traveled and in terrible condition. The western end of Duckworth Road west of Highway 49 is one continuous pothole. That’s just two roads in Harrison County. I’m sure there are numerous others. Look around you politicians, listen to your constituents and spend that money wisely. Don’t waste it on a road that is new, in good condition and doesn’t need to be ‘fixed’.
