Rising again

Have you noticed? I have. It’s happening in North Carolina and Florida like it did here after Katrina. An interviewer asks “You have a tree crushing your garage and wreaking your cars. How are you doing?” “It’s bad, but not as tough as it was for the family down the street.” Then, the guy down the street who had three feet of water in their home says “Yes it’s bad for me, however over there they had it really bad.” Over there, a house was shifted off its foundation but the owner says “It’s terrible but my heart goes out to those that lost so much more”. Yes, everybody was thinking of the suffering other people were enduring while dealing with their own pain. Must be a Southern thing.

Believing anything

Just watched an interview of a Donald Trump voter in line at a Trump rally. As expected, she blamed President Biden for the hurricane and said government did it, but she didn’t know how. I hope the majority of voters have a higher mental acuity than this person, or maybe there’s a group that simply believes anything, which is a challenge to democracy.

Abortion

If life begins at conception (which I believe it does), why is it OK that many pro-life advocates, including Donald Trump, believe it is OK to allow abortions up to six weeks after conception?

Controlling the weather

Here we go, an explanation by the revered scholar Marjorie Taylor Greene of how the president and vice president are targeting Republicans by controlling the weather. I would like a follow-up to find out how a hurricane differentiates between red people and blue people, and if we get a count of Republicans and Democrats amongst the dead bodies? MTG never met a conspiracy theory she didn’t like.

Drugs

I asked a local federal law enforcement officer here on the coast why we don’t see the drug boats from Mexico like we did years ago. He said they are bringing the drugs across the border these days.

Buzzwords

Just incredible: The new buzzwords among the progressive left and biased media are “misinformation” and “disinformation.” Of course this includes any and all disagreement by government officials. Who believes anything coming from the Biden administration?

Electoral College

I am anxious to hear how getting rid of the electoral college will make our presidential elections unfair.
