Parental worries
We spent the night watching an ugly hurricane steadily march toward my daughter’s house. Parents suffer almost as much as their children do when they see a monster on TV heading to do damage to the kids. It leaves one feeling helpless. You want to run to the playground, pick up your child and bring her to safety despite the fact she’s almost 50 now. Fortunately, the Lord shone His protective light on her and she’s alright. A parent’s job is never really completed, it just gets more difficult as distance, time and careers get in the way.
Thanks
Since the Democrats are controlling the weather, I would like to thank President Biden for this year’s spectacular, like-never-seen-before, Cruisin’ The Coast weather.
Political signs
Recently the Sun Herald ran an article stating it was illegal to remove political signs. What about candidates who refuse to remove their signs? There is a Tate Reeves sign at the intersection of Highway 603 and Cutoff Road that is left over from the 2023 gubernatorial race.
FEMA budget
This controversy over whether FEMA has enough budget to handle all the current disasters is ridiculous. The point is that billions of dollars are necessary to meet the needs of Americans, who may have very well lost all of their possessions, and at the moment don’t even have the basic necessities of shelter, food and water. At the same time, we are spending hundreds of billions of dollars for illegal immigrants who are not even supposed to be in our country.
Corruption
Of course there is corruption in Ukraine. Do you prefer the corruption in Russia?
60 Minutes
The decision by Trump not to sit for the “60 Minutes” interview because they were going to fact check him indicates he is nothing but a coward, afraid to answer for his less-than-truthful statements. When coupled with his obviously declining mental capabilities as well as his 34 felony convictions, it is abundantly clear that electing him to the Presidency is a crime against our posterity.
No gas
I’m glad I have a hybrid car. When gas stations are out of gas, it’s no problem, because the sun comes out after the storm. I only have to find an electric pump station.
Respect residents
It’s a beautiful day outside, but these cruisers have been holding a very noisy autocross at the Coliseum since Monday morning. Some people sleep during the day because of their schedule. Where is the respect for residents? This only encourages more speeding and other reckless behavior. Take this to Gulfport Dragway if you have to stoke your ego. These noisy events have gotten out of hand. I better not hear complaints about spring break or other events in the future.
A question
I have a question for Rep. Ezell: Why did you vote against additional funding for FEMA?
Supporting a felon
We wouldn’t vote for a 34-time convicted felon for mayor. We wouldn’t vote for that person for governor. We wouldn’t vote for that person for so much as a dogcatcher. So, pray tell, why in the world are you going to vote for him for president?
Army support
For the first time since the massive fire in Yellowstone, the U.S. Army in engaged in recovery efforts in western North Carolina. They would have been at the capital on Jan. 6 if Nancy Pelosi did her job.
Selling Bibles
I would like to know what church Donald Trump is attending. I have never seen him or heard of him being a church-going person.
