EV travel
A recent Sound Off said, “Buy your EV, but good luck on using it for anything beyond a small circumference around your home.” Such ignorance is lazy or biased. My son lives in Atlanta and has been driving his EV back and forth to Biloxi for a decade now. That’s hardly “a small circumference around your home.”
Let’s be civil
I was reading this morning about the late Bishop Joseph Lawson Howze, the first Black Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi, being honored with a plaque to be displayed at Our Mother of Sorrows Church in Biloxi. He was a humble man who loved the Catholic Church and believed in the dignity of Black and White. I thought it’s too bad that belief was not more evident in our society today. Later that morning, being 90 years old and with a cane, I was close to a store when a lady came up and said “let me help you over the curb,” then she ran to the door and opened it for me. That afternoon I was getting into my car when I was making sure the door would not hit the other car next to me in the parking lot. The lady said “you are OK, the door will not hit.“ She had a wide smile on her face and said “you have a good day.” The two ladies were Black I was a White male. Let’s spread that attitude, it made my day.
Getting my vote
If Vice President Harris wants to buy my vote, she needs to start talking about $25K down payment assistance for either a new boat or hunting camp.
It’s coming
Can’t wait for the Sound Off Republicans to blame President Biden for the hurricane devastation in Florida. Of course, if Donald Trump were president he could have stopped the hurricane “on Day 1,” just like everything else he promises.
What I see
Cars everywhere, lining the streets and traveling the entire length of Highway 90 with few traffic cones. Businesses welcoming events and friendly, helpful police officers visible for an entire week. What you see for two days during Black Spring Break: hoarders, troublemakers, cones everywhere restricting cars from traveling down 90 and police officers everywhere.
Where’s Donald?
Vice President Harris’ interview is what bothers some of you, but not Donald Trump’s no-showings?
60 Minutes
I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Vice President Harris. I thought she did very well and answered the questions. She didn’t whine and stomp off when they pushed her for more info. Too bad Donald Trump backed out of the interview he had agreed to do. He backed out because he didn’t want to be fact checked. Aren’t liars the ones who don’t want to be fact checked?
