Nothing new

Everyone keeps marveling at the damage Hurricane Helene caused far inland in North Carolina and Tennessee, saying it is without precedent. It has happened before. When Hurricane Camille came in to the Mississippi Coast in 1969, it continued to the northeast dumping rain along the way. When I was stationed in the D.C. area, I kept passing a Camille Disaster road sign in central Virginia. I finally stopped and read it one trip. There were horrendous mudslides in the area caused by Camille’s rains. The rains continued on to the Chesapeake Bay region where the salinity was diluted to the point that it reduced Maryland’s famous crab harvest for years afterward. It has happened before and it will happen again.

Projecting

Glenn Kessler of the Washington Post researched and wrote about FEMA money going to migrants. In 2019, Donald Trump took $155 million from FEMA disaster fund and redirected it to pay for detention space and temporary hearing locations for immigrants. President Biden has not taken any FEMA relief funds to use for migrants. Once again, Trump and his cronies are projecting Trump’s behavior onto others.

Facts

No, the Biden administration did not spend Hurricane Helene FEMA money on illegal immigrants. In his rally ramblings, Donald Trump often just makes up lies. This was another big one. It takes less than a minute to check on your phone.

A question

My daughter asked me “How many small wars does it take to become a world war?”

Ukraine

It has become comical to see so many facts people don’t like blamed on FOX News. Just simply go to Wikipedia and search “Corruption in Ukraine” to learn all about it. Not one source is FOX News.

Now what?

The job market is surging, unemployment is down to 4.1%, and the dock workers union won the strike. There’s no honest way to spin the actual data as being negative, but if recent actions tell us anything, I suspect the GOP will find a way to punish President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’ families for improving us lesser citizens‘ financial situation.

Hate of Trump

The reality is that no matter how bad the Biden-Harris administration is or will be, fools are still going to vote Democrat just out of pure hate of Trump.
