VP debate
After watching the Vance-Walz debate, who else besides me would rather see these 2 guys running for president?
The border
The post that says the border has shown improvement since the previous administration is probably the single worst post I seen I the Sound Off column.
Basic homes
Did you know that in the first part of the 20th century, you could buy a new home from a Sears catalog? A Sears Modern Home came in a kit and contained everything from blueprints to bathtubs. Sears also loaned money to homebuyers. That meant a new home could be built, financed, and furnished – all from Sears. Why then today can’t housing for homeless be reasonably made? For awhile, tiny homes were all the popular rage in various places. Why can’t they be mass produced by a community until the homeless are sheltered? The technology and materials should be readily available.
More regulation
At the vice-presidential debate, Vance bragged about his party eliminating government regulations on private companies. This sounds good because we are a capitalist nation. However, we desperately need more, not less, government regulations on our companies. Right now, there are very few regulations, or rules, for our private companies. There is one huge government regulation that we desperately need. We need a rule that any private company has the right to exist and make any amount of profit, but must never make a profit at the expense of the American people’s health and welfare. We know that many companies are slowly killing us with toxins, but there is no one to stop them.
Civility
The vice presidential debate showed that if we simply don’t elect Donald Trump, civility can return to political discourse. After this election he will soon go away.
Humane Society
I have had several occasions to have animals spayed and neutered at the Humane Society of South MS, mine and homeless/ferals. If you have not taken advantage of this great community service, be a responsible pet owner and stop allowing unwanted litters. The people are so nice, the clinic runs like a well oiled machine, and the cost is more than reasonable. Thanks, and keep up the good work guys.
FEMA
FEMA is broke. The problem is the Department of Homeland Security is in charge and controls the budget for FEMA. All of our taxpayer dollars has been spent on illegal immigrants and votes.
