Meltdowns

Ever notice how the rational and ‘down to earth’ Sound Offs are short and to the point, but the more far-right ones are long and meandering like the writer is trying too hard to convince the reader of some fantastical alternate reality.

The truth

Yesterday, President Biden did the right thing. He told the truth about his vice president, stating that she was with him every step in their decisions that have destroyed America, Europe and the Middle East.

It’s confusing

If Donald Trump wins the presidency, how will he be able to command the military as a convicted felon? Convicted felons can run for public office, but can’t get a federal job.

Haitians

Haitian culture is deeply influenced by the practice of voodoo. Animal sacrifice is a large component of voodoo. Do you truly believe that none of the thousands of Haitian immigrants brought their culture with them?

Voter ID

To the person in Sound Off who stated that showing extra ID at the polls to vote is a waste of time, please be advised that showing that ID also assists the poll worker in locating your information in the computer which actually speeds up the process. Next time, watch how quickly a poll worker gets you through the check-in process by using your ID. I’m telling you this from experience. I have been working the polls for 15 years. Hope this helps you understand the ID process better.

I am really curious. Is there really a database that checks across five different states to make sure you only voted once in the Presidential election?
