Arrest the parents

Just as the parents of the school shooters were arrested, our local law enforcement should start arresting the parents of kids involved in shootings and other violent crimes. I bet then you will start seeing more parents become involved. Until the parents are held accountable and have to stand before a judge as well, the cycle of violence will continue

Eating pets

Sen. JD Vance can call the Haitian immigrants in Ohio “illegal aliens” until the cows come home, but that still won’t make it true. He and Donald Trump can repeat a debunked rumor about cats and dogs a million times but that still won’t make it true.

There’s a reason

Do all those whining about Donald Trump being fact checked every five minutes really not understand why? If Vice President Harris spouted lies as often and as outrageous as Trump, maybe she would be fact checked more.

Pay attention

When a candidate states their “values have not changed,” then just review their history as a prosecutor, district attorney, U.S. Senator, presidential candidate, and now vice president. Remember during the debate calling President Biden racist, then saying that comment was just politics. So is everything she is saying now “just politics” to get elected?

Get ready, GOP

Donald Trump has done to politics what Larry Fedora did to USM football — burned it up, never to be the same. He has galvanized an already solid coalition of diverse Americans who will never vote Republican again.

Voter fraud

Are Republicans trying to eliminate voter fraud? Yes, but not because it is a significant problem. Rather, because it is a good political issue. Is there some voter fraud? Yes. There always will be. In big box stores there will always be some shoplifting, but preventing 100% of shoplifting would be prohibitively expensive or drive away customers because of an oppressive shopping experience. Similarly it would be foolishly expensive and unpleasant to do everything possible to prevent every possible instance of voter fraud when extensive evidence shows that current voting procedures are preventing significant levels of voter fraud. Quit making a political issue out of a nonissue. There are more important things to focus on.

Proud

The Los Angeles Times tells us “Don’t underestimate threats of violence from Proud Boys and other right-wing groups.” However, they ignore not just threats but real political violence of the left. Yes, the Proud Boys are armed and trained but only because they feel the left has weaponized everything in our government from the Department of Justice to the Treasury Department against America. No conservatives are blocking traffic, gluing their hands to the floor of businesses, attempting to destroy master art works, destroying buildings and statuary or coordinating mass looting of local stores. All of which go relatively unpunished by those weaponized departments. Proud Boys are only a threat to the swamp much like The Sons of Liberty were in 1765 to King George.
