No lies told?

If you want Taylor Swift to influence a person’s vote, take into consideration that 90 percent of her hit songs are about choosing the wrong person.

At it again

It should be blatantly obvious to everyone by now that Vice President Harris’ campaign is intentionally avoiding any formal press conference where she might be exposed to unscripted, unplanned questions about her past and present policies, statements and accomplishments or lack thereof. This is equal to President Biden’s bunker campaign which was to deceive Americans about his cognitive decline until it was impossible. Basically she’s incapable of off-the-cuff of articulating or justifying her positions on issues, so they’ll keep her as a cardboard cutout until she might win. Fooled you once, twice ought to work.

Voter fraud

My son moved away after college over 12 years ago. He has been working in his current location for over 5 years. I recently received a voter registration card in the mail here for him. Last night, I received a text stating they had mailed him a ballot to his Texas address and wanted to see if he had received it (he lived in Texas a short time for work). My concern is he also lived in Alabama and Georgia. How many ballots are floating around in the mail with his name on it and how many will be returned that he did not complete?

Abortion access

Leaving control of women’s reproductive rights to a state like Mississippi to dictate, where there is not even recourse to a citizen’s referendum to rectify, is reminiscent of leaving the institution of human slavery to the states in the 1860s. We don’t have to have a war today to solve the problem, but we do need be able to vote in a referendum.

Debate issue

I’m not supporting Donald Trump, but I thought the debate was supposed to be same questions both candidates would answer. But it seemed to me questions were directed directly to Trump about Jan. 6 and other questions directed to him like an interview. It was a one-sided debate in Vice President Harris’ favor.

Trump in 2024

Donald Trump is going to win in 2024, because of a wide open border and misuse of taxpayers’ money. Bidenomics is a disaster, and even liberal Democrats in South Mississippi know it.

Fearful in Ohio

Thanks to Donald Trump repeating the lie about Ohio Haitians eating pets, the Haitian people who live there are scared to death. People are threatening them, and Trump doesn’t care who he hurts when he says crazy things to get attention.

The AR

AR style rifles (Armalite Rifle) are classified as assault rifles, are available in several calibers ranging from .22 to .30 caliber, designed around battle assault specifics, and have been more popular than knives for mass shootings and assassination attempts.

Great post

The post about the pretty sunsets lately was greatly appreciated. Someone has a wicked sense of humor and I hope the majority of readers got it. It made my day.

Still them Boys?

Who Dat think they gonna go to Dallas and put a beating on the Cowboys?

Thanks

I want to thank the Sun Herald for publishing deep, illuminating articles such as “What is Federalism?” and “Supreme Courts zeal to curb agency power” on Sept. 14. We need these lengthy, analytic pieces in addition to factual reports.

Who is next?

Replacing Donald Trump is not an option. Who would step in, Sen. Vance? The Republican party’s only choice is to rebuild the party after Trump loses.
