When, then?
Georgia governor, in response to the latest mass shooting, says this not the time to talk about gun control. Will this make their grieving easier? Sen. Vance says we need to have better safety protocols. Anything but controlling access to guns. Nobody needs an assault weapon to hunt or protect your home. The NRA owns some of our legislators by donating to their campaigns.
Immigration bill
Former president Donald Trump may have encouraged the defeat of the latest bill before Congress on immigration, but Republicans have enough sense to do this without his support. There are more than enough illegal immigrants in our country. We need to eliminate the criminals and then do something about helping the ones already here. Most seem to be living in conditions less than favorable. That bill would continue to allow more illegal immigration. At a limit of 4,000 to 5,000 a week, that still adds up to millions a year. Deal with the ones here first.
It’s not fear
I don’t think either candidate is actually “scared” to debate but it would be very, very difficult to find a network and moderators who everyone would agree are 100% neutral. We do know that true to form, Donald Trump has made his excuses for not showing well ahead of time. They were biased, crooked, out to get him and cheated in the vice president’s favor, and blah ... blah ... blah.
Senseless
Why in the world would anyone in their right minds think that it’s a good idea to give a 14 year old an AR-15 rifle as a gift? It’s insane.
Not racism
So, a recent Sound Off laments that the fans attending Crusin’ The Coast get better treatment than the Black spring breakers. The lament says “it’s racism,” naturally. But what is it, really? Could it possibly be behavior?
He’s unfit
Donald Trump more often than not puts his foot in his mouth. It’s a sure sign that he is out of control and is unfit to represent the USA in any way against countries that would want to take advantage of him as president. He speaks without thinking which can be a fatal flaw.
Trump at Arlington
Is there no limit to the shenanigans Donald Trump will use to boost his ego at the expense of others. His campaign fiasco at Arlington National Cemetery is an affront to the military members who died for our freedom, and their families. I find it offensive for him to use this opportunity for self-serving purposes. And to berate an employee at the cemetery is reprehensible. Wake up, America. This guy is an ego-maniac that will stop at nothing to become the autocratic ruler of our precious democracy.
