Y’all sure seem mad
President Biden was replaced, and we approve. Those of you who are trying to make something nefarious about it, why do you care?
Helping veterans
The CQ-Roll Call opinion piece about more veterans turning to the Democrats and away from Donald Trump was interesting. Seems the Democrats are taking all the credit for expanding the care of vets exposed to toxins during service. I’m one of those vets and can attest the VA has always held out helping hands, especially since Trump cleaned their house. We were exposed to toxins like Agent Orange, burn pits and nuclear radiation. This happened during our service to the country, and we are just looking for some help and treatment. Democrats could, perhaps, garner vet support by devoting efforts to house, feed and treat veterans like they have done illegal migrants.
Gaslighting
I’m sure I’m not the only one who noticed it: Democrats at the DNC are on stage telling us how wonderful and better than ever the economy, inflation, wages, crime and the border are. But within minutes, they contradict themselves and are telling us why they are the ones to best fix the problems with the same items. They may be able to gaslight some of the population, but I for one am not falling for it. The Biden/Harris administration created all of the above problems for the last 3½ years. Why should I believe now that they are the cure for the problems.
Won’t matter
Institutions can drop the word “diverse” from their mission statement or wherever, but it won’t matter. America is made up of a gumbo-style melting pot. It was created that way. If you don’t want a country that is diverse, May I suggest Russia for you.
If it ain’t broke ...
After 100 years with no problems, the local government has decided to improve the seawall that needs to be left alone.
My mask
I can wear a mask if I choose to. Sometimes it’s because I am around crowds. Sometimes it’s because I’m at waiting rooms at a doctor’s office. Sometimes it’s because I have a cough, and I don’t want to spread whatever I have. Why do you people have to make it personal? Isn’t there some other issue you could champion or complain about?
Weird
So, JD thinks post-menopausal women’s role in life is to take care of their children’s children? That’s just weird. I’ve always understood the role of both grandparents is to babysit the grandchildren and send them back home spoiled.
No respect
Donald Trump accepted a fake endorsement of an Artificial Intelligence ad depicting Taylor Swift’s endorsement. He really believes that he can tell his followers anything and they will believe him. By the way, Taylor does not endorse him.
Trying to lose
Donald Trump is throwing the presidential race with his unpresidential words and behavior, not enough to be obvious, but, he knows he’s going to lose and by this approach he can claim sour grapes as his defense in defeat.
Pay attention
No one is questioning Gov. Walz service in the National Guard. What is being questioned is that he lied about his rank and being in combat. He wasn’t a Command Sergeant Major and he was never in combat like he claims.
Bought and sold
Donald Trump’s flipping his support of electric cars because Elon Musk gave him money proves he is either a con man or an opportunist looking out for his own interest.
Nothing done
Vice President Harris says on Day 1 she’ll lower food costs. She has had almost four years to close the border, fix the economy and get inflation under control. Instead, she hid as usual.
