Mary Mahoney’s

While I wholeheartedly agree with the “Mary Mahoney’s” writer on the ridiculousness of a lawsuit over foreign fish and the money grubbing plaintiff and lawyers involved, there are a couple of issues I can’t get past. First, you can’t be the greatest promoter of of the Gulf Coast if you aren’t using the coast’s biggest natural resource like you claim you are. Second, they apparently didn’t care about their reputation and “icon” status. I will never eat there again, and it’s not about fish. I won’t patronize a place who scams people like they are stupid, and has a superior attitude and enough hubris to think they would never be found out. How long would they have carried on this ruse if they weren’t caught?

Good idea

I just read a Sound Off post which prompts me to comment: I love the idea of excluding masked people from protesting. Our constitution allows for peaceful protests only. It has been pretty apparent that masked protesters are there to create havoc. I have protested often, and I wouldn’t think of wearing a mask or being with a group of protesters who are wearing masks. I think this would be a really good law. I believe in peaceful protesting. Unmasking would be a start toward making all of our protests peaceful.

Can’t drive 45

The only cars on Highway 90 going 45 mph are those pulling into and pulling out of the parking bays.

Desperate

The Republican Party has no answer for the huge success of Harris/Walz ticket. The ridiculous attacks by JDVance about Gov. Walz’ 24 years of military service have backfired. Their answer to the Harris/Walz ticket’s success is to bring back the queen of liars, Kellyanne Conway. She made millions as Donald Trump’s advisor and a FOX News major contributor. You should remember her as birthing the phrase “alternate facts” that Republicans embellish.

Comrade Harris

Vice President Harris’ Marxism comes out quickly, as she proposes on Day One of her administration, she’ll institute price controls and give home buyers $25,000 on their first home. Comrade Harris will be happy to spend our tax dollars implementing policies that have failed for decades in every nation under Communist rule.

Drug prices

The negotiations by Medicare with drug companies really sounds like a great deal for the consumer. I personally will benefit from it, however history has shown that price controls by the government come back to haunt consumers. When you set price controls and get away from a free market economy you are treading in very dangerous territory.

Still the boss

President Biden is still the president and will remain the president until Jan. 20 when the next president is sworn in. He only withdrew from running for a second term.
