Local issues

What we need to be talking about are high wind insurance, inflated car insurance, the welfare money stolen, no comprehensive health care and our crumbling infrastructure. These are state issues. How was the stimulus money spent? And why is our grocery tax so high?

Stupid?

Donald Trump calls Vice President Harris stupid. She’s been an attorney, prosecutor, elected attorney general of the state with the fourth largest economy in the world, U.S. Senator, and Vice President of the United States. If he thinks that makes her stupid, they should do college grades and compare. Oh, that’s right. Trump didn’t want his college records made public.

Project 2025

Project 2025 is Donald Trump’s baby for the future, if he wins. Higher taxes on lower-income Americans, an increase student loan payments and major cuts to Medicaid, just to name a few. People voting for Trump should read Project 2025. Please don’t think Project 2025 won’t happen to you, just because you vote for him.

DEI VP

The Democrats have gone and done it again. First, they usurped all the truly democratic primary votes in their party because their choice was losing in the polls. Now, the back room boys have selected a deeply flawed VP candidate that none of the party’s voters ever voted for, even when she ran for president. She does, of course meet the current DEI requirements. She will, however, be easily adaptable as a puppet for those that are working to destroy America as a sustainable country.

Free speech

I am all-in regarding artistic free speech. I was not offended by the opening ceremony. I wonder, though, if France will poke fun at the Muslim religion in the closing ceremony.

Unqualified?

A previous Sound Off stated J D Vance was unqualified to be be chosen as Donald Trump’s running-mate. One of the reasons was the fact that he has only served two years as a senator. You may recall that we elected another person who only served two years as a senator, President Barack Obama. President Obama’s previous experience was as a community organizer. Vance served our country in the Marines, started a very successful tech company then ran for the Senate and won.

A real threat

The insistence of President Biden and Vice President Harris for changing the Supreme Court to fit their ideology is proof that they are sore losers. The only reason they want to change the Court is to make sure it is more favorable to them and their ideology. This is the true threat to democracy.

About the border

While Vice President Harris is being accused of doing nothing on the border crisis, the real question is why the Republicans, under Donald Trump’s orders, refused to pass the comprehensive bi-partisan bill that would have fixed many of the problems.

Curious statement

Donald Trump told voters that if they vote for him in November, they won’t ever have to vote again. What does he mean?

Blame game

Now, after two weeks, the Secret Service is blaming local law enforcement for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. That’s perfect, given the fact it was their responsibility.

Not the most liberal

I won’t say that Vice President Harris is not extremely liberal, but, those who say that she was the “most liberal senator” forget that Bernie Sanders has been in the Senate for decades.

Debate, please

I would love to see Vice President Harris have a debate with Donald Trump. She is an experienced criminal prosecutor and would humiliate him in two minutes. Alas, Trump is a coward and it will never happen.
