Keep looking

Haters are having a hard time finding any dirt to stick on Vice President Harris. Meanwhile, Donald Trump continues to get a pass because “they” are out to get him. So, his followers make excuses and deflect by pointing their fingers.

No distinction

People of color are often told to go back to where we came from. Racists are not concerned with whether we are born here are not. We are all considered immigrants if we are not of European origin. And Melania was not born here. She immigrated.

The VP

Kamala Harris is no moderate. She grew up in a Marxist household, cavorted with Marxists and communists as a young adult, and and was linked to the communist mayor of San Francisco. She was the most liberal member of the U.S. Senate and called for defunding the police, bailed out rioting protesters following George Floyd’s death, and never visited the US-Mexican border when put in charge. Need I say more?

Wrong focus

Donald Trump is mad that they spent all this time and money fighting President Biden. He should have been focused on his platform and what his administration will bring to the presidency that will benefit us.

DEI

If DEI isn’t real, why are all these major corporations just now starting to get rid of it? Because it’s dangerous and stupid. John Deere, Tractor Supply, BUD Light ... the list is long.

Development

To the person that is concerned about too much green space being developed in Pass Christian, I suggest that you and your friends buy the green space and donate it to the nature conservative group. Otherwise, let capitalism continue and be thankful we live in country that lets us develop property and make money.

Jellyfish tales

Kat Bergeron’s Sunday column about jellyfish was informative, and her description of being on a shrimp boat at night, surrounded by a sea of the glowing creatures, was breathtaking. A little science, a little sparkle. Thank you, Kat.

Paving needed

Tegarden Road is a high-traffic shortcut from Highway 90 to Pass Road. This ride has so many patched potholes that it feels like you are driving over speed bumps. There is no easement for cars if there is an accident, either.

A big problem

If our Gulf Coast domestic violence shelters are always full, that means there are a lot of wife-beaters running around. We need to clean our own house before blaming others. These incidents are not widely reported, yet we hear about violence from everywhere except inside the home.

What a smile

I’m not crazy about Italian food, but I’m sorry I missed Marguerite’s Italian Village. I would like to have seen Debbie Cooper’s beautiful smile in person. What a picture.

Forced out

If you believe President Biden stepped out because he is being thoughtful, you are delusional. He was forced out by the Democratic powers-that-be because everyone saw how sad his health is. The Friday before he backed out, he was stating that he was in it to win. He was staying in to enrich his family, but those controlling him forced him to face reality, most likely through treats and enticements. Stand by for the announcement of his funding for a Presidential Library.

So many complaints

As I read more and more of these Sound Off submissions, I find myself feeling simply disgusted over what I am reading. What I am referencing is all of the anti-Trump comments. Look at yourselves. All you are doing is spreading hatred. You people are no different than what you proclaim him to be. I will suggest you do your homework rather than just listening to what you “want” to hear. Research it. Look at the facts. When Donald Trump was in office, he did indeed do a lot for this country and we were in much better shape than what we are now.
