The difference
Democrats are seeing a major problem with their presidential candidate and more and more are calling for him to step aside, and rightfully so. Republicans have been seeing a myriad of problems with their presidential candidate for years and most back him up every step of the way. What’s wrong with this picture?
Works both ways
I hope that Donald Trump realizes his plans for sending Joe Biden to prison for his supposed crimes have gone out the window now that the Supreme Court, in its infinite wisdom, has ruled on the immunity issue for presidents. The highest officer in the land should be held more accountable, not less. A law breaker is still a criminal even if their address is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Candidates and the military
President Biden did say that no military service people died on his watch, but at least he didn’t call these people “suckers and losers”. Any military person who still supports Donald Trump is a cult member. Only cult members continue to support their leader, no matter what he/she says or does.
Freebies
In the Commentary section of Monday’s e-edition was an advocacy for free, government paid post-High School education for all. Surprise! It’s already offered: Just enlist in the military. You’ll get food, clothing, shelter and a free college degree offer afterwards. Or, study hard and get a scholarship. You don’t have to pay, but you do have to put some skin in the game. On the other hand, if there’s going to be any free, guaranteed degrees they should only be in disciplines that will aid the country. Engineering, medicine or teaching come to mind, and exclude the basket-weaver studies like gender, race and other politically driven pseudo-sciences.
Busted
Pre-interview questions given to radio host, who was honest about it and gets fired. The Democratic party doesn’t have a truth about it from coast to coast. Liars one and all. How sad.
GOP platform
The “new Republican Party platform … slims down policy specifics across all areas of government.” In other words, like the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, the party can be equally wishy-washy, according to what suits its needs at the moment.
About that time
As the election gets closer it’s time for Donald Trump to begin softening his stance on policies to gaslight independent voters. Expect the master of manipulation to soften his stance on abortion, immigration, tax breaks and desire to be a dictator. If he is elected he will then switch back to his draconian, radical, and morally challenged self.
