Trouble looms
I’m more concerned with the mental state of a much younger demographic than I am of President Biden’s age and cognitive abilities. Just try to imagine what it’s going to be like when this portion of our population reaches their 70s and 80s.
No more
How did we ever get that ego-maniac Donald Trump as president, much less a rerun? A rerun of smashing plates of food on the wall and fighting with everyone in his team that now tell us it was worse than everyone believed. This time he’s ready to get rid of all restraints and run rampant over the Constitution that is the foundation of our country.
Thanks, Mike
Thank goodness Mike Pence had the dignity to go against Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Pence was a decent vice president. It’s the ex-president that stained this country.
Time to go
Although President Biden has enjoyed a very long and honorable political career, it is obvious that he is no longer competent to serve. Do the right thing for your country, Joe, and withdraw. There are plenty of Democrats qualified to run.
Didn’t happen overnight
It’s mind-blowing how many people have known about President Biden’s condition for months, or even longer. Democrat leaders pushed this same Biden through a virtually unopposed primary. His elderly condition was never an issue until America saw him on TV. Now, politicians, media, mega donors and more are pushing for his withdrawal. But, sadly for safety of the country, the uproar isn’t about his elderly condition and ability to lead, but mainly because this same Biden is now way behind in the polls and dragging the party with him.
Bullying
Prevention, not revenge is the antidote to a bully. Dealing with an “alpha” person is a life skill you must teach your children before they find out they need it. Say a quick prayer for the grieving mother and, again, teach your kids.
Oh, the irony
Has anyone noticed the irony? Before, during and after Donald Trump’s presidency, the Democrats have moved heaven and earth to remove him from politics. Fake dossiers, weaponized DOJ, 51 corrupt security “experts,” compromised judges, and on and on. They failed. Now, the Democrats are concentrating their efforts to remove President Biden from the scene. The trouble is, he is just as stubborn as Trump and will fight the party elites to keep Jill in power.
Balance
OK, President Biden is old, but his every word is scrutinized by media. Meanwhile, the other candidate running for president doesn’t get his deserving media coverage. Where is the continued coverage over him being a proven adulterer, who was convicted of sexual assault, convicted of 34 felonies of business fraud, and who defrauded students with his self-named Trump University and his numerous casino failures?
George Clooney
For years MAGA has scourged George Clooney as a low-down, ignorant liberal. Now, all of a sudden, he seems to have become the darling of MAGA because he is suggesting that President Biden should drop out of the race.
Project 2025
Quit accusing Donald Trump of knowing what’s in Project 2025. He’s too busy being the star of the show to read it.
Press secretary
I’d like to commend White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. She is articulate, knowledgeable, and instills confidence in her remarks. She doesn’t sugar-coat her comments and if she doesn’t know the answer to a question, she admits it rather than fabricate a response. We need more trustworthy people like her in all levels of government. Many government officials do good work, but they have trouble conveying their thoughts publicly. They should hire more people like Karine. It’s not much different than news reporters. We all have our favorites that we listen to. They don’t make the news, they just report it in a way that instills confidence to the public. I guess you could say “she’s the modern day Walter Cronkite.” The Sun Herald’s Anita Lee is also someone whose reporting I admire and trust.
Supreme Court
Not liking the decisions that the Supreme Court renders is grounds neither to abolish the Court, nor to impeach justices who made the decisions that you don’t like. Over time, there have been plenty of SCOTUS decisions that conservatives have disliked, yet one rarely hears them screaming to abolish the Court or to impeach the justices who rendered them. The civil response to SCOTUS decisions one doesn’t like is to vote for presidential candidates who might make more favorable appointments to the Court and candidates for Congress who might craft legislation or constitutional amendments that might shape future decisions in a more favorable manner.
