Sound Off for June 21, 2024

A blue state?

After reading so many Sound Offs, I must live in a “blue state.” This paper is out of touch with its readers. It seems lots of pro-Biden and seems lots of anti-Trump. What positive for this country has the Biden administration done? World wide chaos and division. Prices up with inflation and no positive future policies.

Intervention needed

It is disturbing to hear about violent crimes and shootings involving teenagers. While it is the parents’ responsibility to be involved in their lives, my guess is that in most cases the parents are either not involved, are absent, or just don’t care. Since these occurrences are happening more frequently and often with fatal results it’s time for a major intervention. My suggestion would be for police to develop a program in schools, starting in junior high, develop a curriculum that involves education regarding consequences of their behavior and how the Justice system works.

A good chuckle

Donald Trump spoke of Joe Biden’s declining mental state while citing how he aced the mental competency exam given by the White House physician Ron Johnson. How quickly Trump forgot the man’s last name is Jackson.

Just too old

If one thinks President Biden is mentally and physically ready and able to serve for 4 more years, you are just so anti-conservative and anti-Trump that your ideology needs help. The Democrats can choose another candidate and that would be smart, Joe can’t cross the finish line either way. Sorry, but facts are facts. Truth is more important than speculation.

This is fine

Biden is just fine. He is as sharp as ever. Fit as a fiddle. The economy is healthy and future looks rosy. There is no chaos at the border. The FBI has not been politicized against conservatives. DOJ is not targeting conservatives. Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?

New allies

Vladimir Putin is meeting with North Korea and Vietnam. I guess these will be our new allies if Donald Trump becomes president. Lord help us.

Liar, liar

Why don’t Republicans care about Donald Trump’s historical number of lies? In Wisconsin this week, he told 30 fact-checked lies. Just outright lies, and yet his supporters applaud. It’s sickening.
