No limit
Trump hits another height of hypocrisy. In his campaign speech in South Carolina, he mocked Nikki Haley with ... “Where’s her husband? Oh. He’s away. He’s away” inferring she has marital problems or he is not supporting her on the campaign trail. Nikki Haley’s husband is a military officer, who served in Afghanistan, and is currently deployed to Africa. Mr. never-served Trump, where’s your wife?
The difference
The headline said it all. “Special counsel: Clear differences in classified document cases.” Yep, one is a Democrat and one is a Republican. You see, if you’re old, feeble and can’t remember the crimes, but you can still advance the Progressive Democrat agenda, you’re safe. Threaten to make America great again and buddy, we’re gonna send in SWAT at 2 a.m. to arrest you in your pj’s.
Dysfunctional
The Sun Herald recently published some excellent stories about our dysfunctional federal government. It concerns me greatly that they can’t seem to accomplish anything due to their child-like actions. Some say it’s the president’s fault. Others blame a do-nothing Congress. Still others blame the judicial branch – the Supreme Court. I think all three branches of government can share some of the blame. They all took similar oaths of office and should remember that they pledged allegiance to serve and protect our most valuable commodity — the people of the U.S. Please stop the petty bickering and do your jobs which President Lincoln so accurately defined as a “government of the people.”
He’s the worst
We have never had someone as awful as Trump running to be president. He ranted about Nikki Haley’s husband being missing because he’s serving our country in uniform in Africa. Then he rants that if the country next to Russia doesn’t pay up he will tell Putin to do whatever he wants. Heavens, we will be sunk if he’s president. Running down our military and helping Putin in any way.
Mar-a-Lago
In 2019, Lu Jing, 56, a Chinese national was arrested for trespassing at Mar-a-Lago the resort where Donald Trump often visits, and housed classified documents. She was sentenced to six months. In 2020, a second Chinese national, Yujing Zhang, passed an initial Secret Service checkpoint by passing herself off as a relative of a resort member. That incident raised fears Zhang, who had spy devices, could have posed an intelligence threat. Zhang was convicted of trespassing, served time and was deported. Do you think Trump’s handling of classified documents was a security risk? It look as if the Chinese do.
Already an option
“Fix it Already” says if Congress can pass a stand-alone bill to fund Israel, it can pass a stand alone bill to fix the border crisis. It did, some time ago. The Republican house passed just that. It has been sitting there for months, waiting for the Democrat-led Senate to act on it. The Democrats don’t want it.
Better choices
I agree that we should better choices for the presidential race than what we currently have: Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Of the two, I would have to choose Biden, because he is not necessarily that good, but he is not evil.
