Not concerned

People are not concerned about the high price of gasoline, as evidenced by cars running in drive-thrus and parking lots, to say nothing of diesel vehicles idling through entire meals.

Warning sign?

In years past, these notices of proposed ad valorem tax increases also included the anticipated percentage of the increase. That factor is noticeably absent now. This is a huge warning sign.

Customer service

This has been a wacky week. Seems like all I have done is wait. Started with a doctor’s appointment. Waited almost two hours to be seen. Then an appointment with my hairdresser. I arrived on time to find her just starting on another client. What happened to time management and customer service?

Saying thank you

To all of those who are fortunate to be recent high school graduates or newlyweds, please remember to send thank you cards to those who sent gifts to you. This is a thoughtful gesture which it seems no one does any more. Call it “etiquette.”

Bad policy

During the presidential campaign, Joe Biden said as president he would treat Saudi Arabia as a pariah state. President Biden now goes hat in hand to beg them to increase oil production to relieve America’s soaring gas prices. Drilling oil in the Middle East apparently doesn’t harm the environment as it does in here. President Trump created and implemented a long-term plan to make us energy independent and we were. That’s America first sound policy. President Biden is reactionary and his energy policy is pinball, which makes us dependent.

Don’t understand

I don’t understand some people’s definition of Christian values. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of Jesus or the church? Southern Baptists are voting on how to address their pastoral abuse history. Why are religious leaders exempt from the law?

Big laugh

Thanks for the big laugh for the story about the Democrats running away from and against their own party in order to stay in office. They know their own kind too well, obviously. Some might say “rats leaving a sinking ship.” The smell must be pretty bad, too.
