Who is responsible?

Gun shops should be held responsible when a teenage kid or anyone else comes in and buys an assault weapon and ammunition and does not report the sale to authorities, or do they? Who is responsible for mass shootings besides the gun or individual? Close the loop.

Flood insurance

My house is in an area that has never flooded, even after Katrina’s 30-foot tidal surge that wiped out or flooded everything south of my property. Yet, I pay the same price as residents in areas that flood every hurricane and torrential rain. I buy flood insurance because I believe we all need to help fund that program, but our premiums should reflect our individual risks rather than the risk of the lowest elevation near us.

Uvalde school shooting

It has been reported that police personnel would not enter the Uvalde, Texas elementary school for over an hour while children were being killed inside. This makes me wonder what our police would do.

Stop blaming guns

Someone wrote sound off blaming guns for these deaths. It was more than tragic. However, I’ve never seen a gun get up and fire itself.

NRA is dying

The NRA has lost its luster. Now it is being used as a platform for politicians to connect with their base of frightened angry Americans who blame everybody else for their problems.
