Fight brewing

Oops, I guess AFLAC will have to scrap their commercial with coaches Deion Sanders and Nick Saban yukking it up. Saban publicly accused Sanders and Jackson State of grabbing a D1 prospect by paying him a million dollars. Sanders denies it but Saban hasn’t retracted the allegation. Sounds like Saban has heartburn over losing the D1 prospect. Plus, the NCAA permitting college athletes to personally benefit from endorsements was designed to prevent under the table incentives.

Get it done

While the Democrats control the White House, Senate and House, the Port should partner with the local port union workers and seek help from Congressman Bennie Thompson for channel dredging and expedited permits. Thompson has the seniority and clout to make it happen. Until the channel is deepened, the port will remain idle. Our worldwide competitors don’t seem to be held back by bureaucracy.

Stop it

People keep writing into Sound Off saying that Biden opened our borders. No matter how many times this issue has been explained, I still see it. Sound Off should be about your opinions, but when one states an opinion as a false fact, this means one is leading leaders astray. Biden/ Democrats have never had open borders. No one has ever legally crossed our borders without being vetted or fully investigated. Never. Please quit saying the opposite.

Biden’s accomplishments

Let’s talk about President Biden’s accomplishments. Well, he scrapped the disinformation board created by DHS Secretary Mayorkis and sent the Mary Poppins wanna be czar home before she could do damage to our Constitution by censoring Americans. Problem is Biden knew all about it, so maybe this is not a good example of an accomplishment.

The strip of land in the middle of both lanes of a road is called a “median,” not a “medium.” The word median means the middle of something.

A crisis?

Never let a good crisis go to waste. If you do not have a crisis, create one you can solve. Baby formula is a good example of a crisis created by the government (FDA) and now the focus of the media and politicians. Incompetence or intentional? You be the judge.

Mississippi Today

I’m surprised to see the Sun Herald finally print a Sound Off pointing out the total, left-wing bunk contained in the opinions submitted under the byline of Mississippi Today. I know I will only get the ultra liberal position in any opinion offered by them.
