Trash pickup

Wow, the state Department of Transportation has done it again. They shredded all the trash in the medium and on sides of road instead off first cleaning. Why can’t we use prisoners to clean the area first? Or it’s that cruel and unjust treatment?

Not concerned

People are not concerned about the high price of gasoline, as evidenced by cars running in drive-thrus and parking lots, to say nothing of diesel vehicles idling through entire meals. Today I saw an empty convertible running … with the top down.

Not working hard

A recent Sound Off praised Joe Biden for working so hard. I agree but he has been working hard to give us the highest inflation in 40 years, including over $4 a gallon for gas. He opened the borders allowing hundreds of thousands illegals to cross our borders giving free food, housing, medical and cell phones. He stopped the pipeline and eliminated all of Trump’s efforts to make us independent. Yep, he is working hard.

One question

If President Biden is doing a great job, why wouldn’t he take a day trip to the border? He’s doing a poor job.

Race incidents

I don’t know what country the writer of Biden’s great job from May 18 is living in, but I can assure you that-race related incidents were much more prevalent during Trump’s dictatorship than during Joe Biden’s first two years in office.

Repeat offenders

During my daily check of Mississippi arrests online, I am startling to see a high number of recidivists in Harrison County. Scroll down and many of them have arrests records as long as my arm. Isn’t there some sort of program here that treats repeat offenders so they won’t do it again?

Market competition

Around 1900, Teddy Roosevelt signed a bill that broke up the monopolies which were limiting competition and allowing just a few individuals to become too rich. It was called the anti-trust law. President Reagan got rid of this law, and we now see the results. This is just one example. We do not have enough baby formula because there are only two companies in all of America, and one of them had to shut down because two babies died from tainted formula. The reason we only have two companies is because the bigger companies bought up the smaller companies so that they can control the whole market. We need to reinstate Roosevelt’s anti-trust law, but you can bet our current Republican-controlled Congress will never do that. We need to vote for more Democrats, who believe in market competition.
