A fruit stand
You ever wonder if the people running this country would be competent to manage a fruit stand?
Congressional candidates
I see in varying national news stories and interviews with candidates running for Congress that some of the GOP candidates are attacking their primary opponents because they supported bipartisan bills, such as the infrastructure bill that will improve the whole country. Why? Bipartisanship shows our country has a functioning democratic government. The alternative, “My way or no way” attitude would change our government from a democracy to a dictatorship and our country will be destroyed. Why would anyone want that?
A social media meltdown
Twitter, Facebook and others have lost their original intent of promoting healthy social communication. They are now systems of promoting vengeance, hatred and grossly false information which will destroy democracy. Free speech was never intended to overthrow democracy. Lying by politicians is now the norm and many acknowledge it doesn’t have to be truthful.
Man up and say it
All you men who keep giving reasons and excuses for being anti-abortion, just stop. The Constitution is the law upon which this nation was founded. It has excluded African captives and women in the past, but amendments were added. If you want to take away a woman’s right to choose her pregnancy, then man up and say it. Stop hiding behind the Bible and God.
Beginning of life
I am not a member of any Abrahamic religious sect. However, I have read all of the Christian Bibles, from the Coptic to the King Jame’s version. Each says the same thing about the beginning of life. In Genesis 2:7 it says “and the Lord God formed a man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul”. A blastosphere, embryo or fetus is, most assuredly, alive. However, so is a snail or a bird. Being alive does no constitute the existence of a human being. Life, as the Bible says, begins at birth.

I can not fathom how you can love children but hate fetuses.
