Carl the rooster
It would be interesting to know what caused a Jones County woman to allegedly kidnap and kill the rooster mascot, Carl, from Ocean Springs. Hopefully the court can determine her reasoning.
Booming economy
If the economy is as bad as the Republicans claim, why are my investments (and the stock market) up between 15% and 20% since President Joe Biden took office last January?
I see your move, Joe
It has just been brought to my attention that the federal government has giving each employee 4 hours of paid leave in recognition of Federal Employee Public Service Recognition Week. Sounds like President Joe Biden’s futile attempt to strengthen his standing and popularity.
Abortion & the Bible
Christians are ignoring that the Bible says that life begins when a baby takes its first breath out of the womb. For these Christians, life is sacred for fetuses, but not so sacred when these unwanted babies need government help later on in life.
Not transparent
The City of Gulfport posting notices of Adoption of Ordinances is not transparency. It’s just of way of satisfying the requirement. Even when you read it, you can’t understand it.

A reality TV show
An article in Sunday’s paper lays out how the confirmations of Supreme Court justices are rehearsed. Imagine that. It doesn’t take much of a stretch to know “the leak” was rehearsed, too. We don’t have a working government, we have a reality TV show.
Your child’s behavior
I wonder if parents ever think about how their children act at school and how it reflects on the parents. Parents please teach your children some manners and respect for adults and stop making excuses for their bad behavior!
Student loan debt
Not everyone has student loan debt. Many have paid their debt. Many more did not have the opportunity to go to college. If someone takes decades to pay their debt, they are dragging it out. If I max out a credit card and pay only the minimum every month, it will take forever to pay out. College graduates, on average, make a million dollars more in their lifetime than those who did not go to college. Pay off the loan you applied for.
Priorities
I wish the people who are upset about the death of Carl the Rooster were equally upset by the fact that Mississippi has yet to accept the Medicaid option.
