Abortion & the Supreme Court

It would be nice to have less fetal killing, but this should be achieved by education, not the U.S. Supreme Court.

CSX railroad crossings

The only way to cross over the railroad from Hewes Avenue to 25th Avenue Wednesday night was 25th Avenue. Irrespective of the hardship, I worry about emergency vehicles being delayed. Here it is the next day and now Hewes and 24th Avenue are open. The rest are still closed with vehicles going 60 mph on Second Street. I realize CSX has jurisdiction.

Medical cannabis in D’Iberville

So the D’Iberville City Council voted to opt out of medical cannabis, thinking they know what’s best for its citizens. The people of this state voted for this with a more than 70% margin. So I guess when election time comes up we will vote for people who will back up the votes of its citizens. You can’t have it both ways

Interest rates

Go to work

There are 11.5 million job openings in the U.S. Help wanted signs are everywhere. Even the Bible says if a man will not work, he should not eat. If you are able but won’t, then the government should not enable your dependence. That’s completely different than a safety net. You have both a right and a civil obligation to be gainfully employed in supplying your own needs and wants.
