Balloon releases

Please, please, please stop with the balloon releases to commemorate lives lost. Balloons have been proven to kill birds, marine life and other animals. There are other ways to mourn the loss of someone other than killing other species. It is time legislators take a hard look at this practice and enact laws prohibiting such harmful activities.

Tucker Carlson and Fox News

Fox News is the No. 1 cable news network. Tucker Carlson does not have one of the network’s news shows, but an opinion show. However, if he states something that he says is actual fact, that is not, please address that specifically. That would be informative.

Money for Pass Road?

Gulfport allotting money for building facelifts downtown is nice. But how about adding Pass Road to the list? I don’t understand why it is always left out. It’s a main corridor.

New trash contractor

When did Gulfport get a new trash contractor? It’s news to me.

Fishing piers

It has been a year and a half since our fishing piers were destroyed by a hurricane. We like to spend time in Popps Ferry Causeway Park and other piers, Libby Roland as an example. Fix the piers! I know FEMA has given the money and other moneys are coming in from other sources. We really look bad with these in a constant state of disrepair. Many people come here and enjoy these fishing opportunities. Its an embarrassment.
