Cameras in hospital rooms

I recently visited a friend in a local hospital and was shocked to find a live camera in her room without her knowledge. Also, I witnessed the live feed at the nurses station. Is this legal?

Power of judges

It is amazing that a single judge can make a decision that affects many people. If that decision is wrong and causes harm or death to people, the judge is not held accountable. You can go get another decision from a different judge that is the opposite. Who gave our judges all this power?

War on Ukraine

I don’t think much of the Russian Army, as they have very poor leadership, lack of discipline, poor planning and use mercenaries. However, I have great respect for the Ukrainian Army for them to be able to fight as well as they have against a larger enemy. Russians don’t believe Ukraine should exist and have believed that for generations while massacring the Ukrainian people as they are doing again now. Hopefully that is about to change.

‘Family values’

Conservatives have accused welfare recipients of being lazy deadbeats. Why no outrage over welfare money being defrauded into the pockets of elected Mississippi officials and their cronies? Poor folks are always excusing crimes committed by rich conservatives with “family values.”

Welfare scandal

Hideous what people in power did with welfare money. Phil Bryant, John Davis, Brett Favre and Nancy New. These people spent the state’s welfare money while children in child protective services custody suffer because there aren’t enough staff to properly oversee them all. They obviously have no conscience. Brett Favre should be so ashamed of himself, but he instead makes excuses.

State taxes

Anyone believing what our Jackson politicians say about reducing or eliminating state taxes in Mississippi also believes in Peter Rabbit. Thanks to our politicians, we continue to be the poorest state in the nation and yet we have the highest tax on food in the U.S. If politicians really want to help the taxpayer, then just get rid of the tax on groceries. That will help every single person in the state.
