A low bar

The bar for acts of patriotism is low. What happened to fighting for democracy and support of the Constitution? Protesting is protected by the Constitution. Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling has been deemed less patriotic than the Civil War and invasion of the Capitol on January 6. Quit draping your racism in the American flag.

Teen with a gun

Quit blaming the parents without sure knowledge. Teens have money and seem to do what they want with drugs or guns. I think the proliferation of guns for sale in pawn shops, gun shows and person to person is the problem. First you need the gun to commit a gun crime.

BP money

All the BP money is allocated everywhere but not in the neighborhoods where people live. We want better roads, more parks and sidewalks that connect us to the beach.

Tidelands money

Let us hope that some of the Tidelands money is used to replace the fishing piers that are gone and to repair the ones that were damaged by the hurricanes. Local people and tourists all benefit from these piers.

Made my day

Thank you to the folks at Miracle-Ear in Gulfport for helping Libby Riley hear again. Reading that article just made my whole day. Enjoy your blessing, Ms. Riley!
