The blame game

Barack Obama was blamed for the mess left from George H.W. Bush. Now, President Joe Biden is being blamed for the mess left by Donald Trump. Nobody is blaming big businesses, like the oil companies, that are raising prices to take advantage of us. We can fight back by using less gas and cutting back on non-essentials. Less demand will drive prices down.

Flags at Coast elementary school

I understand some people being upset about the Confederate flags. Mentioning Trump flags as something to be upset about is confusing. Since when can we not support a president? I am not a Biden fan but would never complain about someone selling his flag at a school event or elsewhere.

Good Sound Offs

Wednesday’s Sound Off section was the first inoffensive collection I’ve seen in years. Each post was an honest and responsible airing of grievances. I commend the writers and editors for being responsible persons. Thanks.

Looking for witnesses

I was involved in an accident on April 2 and not one of the four or five vehicles that witnessed the accident stayed around to give a statement. This would have helped my case tremendously. It would have even helped if they would have called in anonymously and said what they saw, even if they did not want to be involved. I wish someone would come forward because the other party is lying about what happened. People don’t realize that these things are important and that it can really help other people.
