Bad decisions?
Teachers are a valuable asset to the professional make-up of every community and to society in general. However, it is a decision-based profession. When a person goes the college route to obtain a teacher’s certificate, they should absolutely know what lies ahead salary-wise. There are no secrets and it is public information. The choice is the individual’s to work for less than it takes for them to live. If they choose to work two jobs, then that is great. But don’t make the taxpayer further compensate for your bad financial decisions.
Bringing work home
It’s not fair to say that teachers are underpaid and get home at 4 o’clock every day. I’ll guarantee that those teachers that are home by 4 p.m. are taking work home to grade papers or do lesson plans. Not to mention buying their own supplies throughout the school year. And by the way I am not a teacher.
Did he know?
If Chris Rock had known that Jada has a medical condition he would not had said a thing. He, along with me, thought it was a fashion cut. It could had been addressed after the show. Hopefully Will Smith hasn’t started a new trend and comedians will be targeted every time they are on stage.

Recently I’ve been getting voicemails from criminals claiming to be from Credit National Assist. CNA is a legitimate business. CNA does not make these calls using fake numbers. The calls are from criminals, probably sitting in prison, killing time. I have reported these never ending voicemails to the FTC. Today’s voicemail from a CNA scammer named Melonie told me I had been approved for financial assistance and to call back. Here is how stupid these criminals are. I have no debt. My wife and I are millionaires. Where do these criminals get our numbers and the fact that we are senior citizens?
Counting the shots
News outlets are saying that experts are calling for a “second booster“ for coronavirus protection. Let’s count. Your first vaccination was your primary. Three weeks later you got your first booster. If you followed government recommendations for people over 55, you got a second booster a few months later. If you get another booster now it will be your third, not your second.
Work needed
When is someone going to fix the water hole across from Family Dollar on Popp’s Ferry Road? It has been leaking for months. This could be dangerous. The next thing that is going to happen is a sinkhole. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
A crime?
Your article in the March 29 edition says Trump may have committed a crime, but the real criminal issue is the open Southern border and the laws Biden is breaking and ignoring that threatens our sovereignty.
Not great
Harrison County cleaned up all the glass on North Swan Road last week. They swept it off to the side of the road where it still remains. Good job?
Chicken places
How many more chicken restaurants do we need on the Coast? How about doing better zoning and approval of more of a variety of restaurants?
