The thing about toll bridges

Toll bridges are not bad, but to have one that short and inexpensive doesn’t make sense. Can you imagine traffic jams before and after Coast Coliseum events, Cruisin’ The Coast and other events? What the heck is wrong with the bridge we have? Openings are minimal since Mississippi Power quit pushing coal. Toll bridges are usually new builds and not built on paths people have used for 100 years.

There once was a Kroger

When I first moved here in late 1989, we had a Kroger in Biloxi where Joann Fabrics is located now. It apparently wasn’t profitable for them back in the day.

Bank teller training

After a very frustrating visit to my local bank today, I have to ask if tellers are tested or trained at all anymore. To m,e one of the first requirements would be to make sure that they could add. I tried to take care of a simple transaction that I do every month. For the life of me I could not get the teller to comprehend that 1400 plus 1300 equals 2700. She really didn’t get it. Pretty scary if you think about it, especially if it is your money.

Principal enforces the rules

The school board makes a rule to protect the modesty and wholesomeness of its students. They hire a man to enforce the rule. He does his job. Some people don’t want the rule applied to their children, so the principal becomes a pawn in the process. If you don’t like the rule, go to the school board to change it, send your children somewhere else or home school where there will be no rules. Otherwise, if the rule says how long the shirt must be, have shirts that are longer than that or have your child wear pants instead of leggings.
