Coastal Cleanup

Kudos to those involved in the annual Coastal Cleanup, especially those volunteering at the Popps Ferry Causeway! Now, will the city or county please make repairs from Hurricane Zeta?

Free parking

We are the Hospitality State, but when exactly did it become OK to park your RV in parking bays on the public beach for weeks at a time? Why aren’t the police telling them to move to an RV park? They are giving our beautiful Coast a bad image. It’s been going on in Gulfport, Long Beach and Pass Christian for months.

Long Beach parade

I was appalled to see a Trump and other Republican candidates buses in the Long Beach parade on Saturday night. It is rude and inappropriate at a Mardi Gras parade to insert politics. What was the Carnival Association thinking to allow this at a community event? We had friends visiting with us from another state and all we could say was “what?”

Who’s next?

Afghanistan has been taken over. Now Ukraine is about to be taken. This is happening all under the Biden administration. Who’s next?
