I just don’t get it

I seriously don’t understand all the protesting of mask mandates. OK, don’t wear it, but you may not be able to enter places that require it. But, disrupting transporting or getting mad at people who wear them or mandate them at their private businesses? The federal government is looking out for the health and wellness of its citizens. I think all this anger is just that, anger.

Tunnels under Biloxi

Does anybody remember Amelia’s bar in the White House hotel? They say the door on the wall behind the bar led to one of those tunnels.

Stealing and destroying headstones

There have been a large number of brass vases stolen from headstones at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Long Beach. It is hard to imagine what kind of person steals off a grave or even worse the one who buys obviously stolen headstone vases without question. If your business is approached by someone trying to sell these please do the right thing and call the police.

Freedom & responsibility

Who else remembers that although we have certain rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, we also have a responsibility to exercise those rights within the law? An example: Although we are granted the right of “free speech,” we are mandated by law to exercise that right in compliance with the law. You can’t stand up in the middle of a movie house and yell, “Fire,” if there is no fire. Those contemplating a Canadian-style truck convoy protest need to consider the harm such an act would cause to millions of U.S. citizens as well as to the economy of our country.
