Remember the miniskirt days?
Remember the days of miniskirts when they were measuring how far from the knee to the skirt edge? Lots of girls got sent home. Some managed to hike their waist band up higher to make the skirt short after they left home with it at their natural waistline.
Fred Haise statue
I was riding by today and happened to get a peek of the Fred Haise statue. It looks incredible! Make time and go see it.
5th grade dress code
A girl wears a hoodie that’s long and she’s suspended. Really? That’s definitely the child that needs suspension. Not. Wouldn’t it have been easier to call parents to bring her a change of clothes? She looks pretty nicely dressed compared to some kids I see going to school today.
Switch to uniforms?
Dress codes in public schools are a nightmare for parents, students, teachers and administrators. Perhaps the answer to this problem is going to school uniforms.
Insurance coverage
It’s a shame that parents have to protest to get insurance coverage for hearing aids for their kids. Capitalism and greed should not be synonymous.
D’Iberville roundabout
I constantly see accidents almost happen at the roundabout in D’Iberville. I saw two cars almost crash into each other recently, as well as the remnants of the crash that killed the couple in the car. That roundabout is so dangerous and they spent millions on it. It does not work the way it is supposed to because of the crazy drivers down here. No one gives consideration that if you are in the circle then you have the right away. It’s a free for all, and I pray every time I have to go through it, which is four times a day, that I stay safe. No wonder someone got killed there. It is an accident waiting to happen for sure. I am sorry for the couple that lost their lives because of the poor engineering of it.
